I had the fried oysters with spicy Kani sushi appetizer, loved it! Deb had the Pork Gyoza, better known as pork fried dumplings, they were wonderful, love the dipping stuff. I had the combo hibachi chicken and lobster tail. Everything was perfect, hot and sweet Sriracha sauce made everything better for me. Deb had the General Taso's chicken with white rice, very good, huge chicken pieces. The vegetable stir fry was very good.. The fried rice and soup were awesome. The iceberg salad with that wonderful ginger dressing is so yummy. Great attentive service and the atmosphere rocked. I totally recommend!
Great spot away from NYC.
Recently moved out of NY and was truly grateful when I found this spot. Their food is great and would recommend it to anyone passing by!
The hibachi chefs are extremely entertaining as well!
Very good place for japanese food. If you are in the mood for a good show get into the Hibachi area and have a good time along with great food, or simply sit on a table end enjoy some good sushi or other plates. Great service and reasonable price.
Definitely a pleasant and nice Asian fusion restaurant. They have an enormous drink selection. I would recommend the Summer Mule and the Moscow Mule. Strong and delicious.
There is a straight line 10 seat bar and about four booths also in the bar area. I would come back for happy hour any day!
The hibachi looked delightful and the atmosphere is well done.
They should upgrade their outdoor sign and menu as they seem a little faded.
But this place is worth experiencing if ever in Torrington/New Hartford area.
I love hibachi cooking and have had it many many many times. This food was flavorless. My husband and I both got steak. There was no char or flavor on it.
When we left, I ask my husband what did you think of the food? I give it a C. My scallops were good. I will never go there again. It was a special occasion for us. The bill was $165 and definitely not worth it.!!!
This great establishment was recommended to me by a local from Torrington. And I am glad he did because it was great. I had the filet steak and chicken hibachi. The seasoning was to perfection, as well as the way it was cooked. The service was also splendid. You should definitely give this fine establishment a try you will be glad you did.
This time fugi failed us. We come here often but this time was terrible. The chef was awful he literally did tricks and that was it. He then gave us sake per usual but it was out of a water gun and sprayed all over my face and neck. The food.. well the rice was hard, dry steak and so on.. even my 8 year old said " this was bad" they gave us 7 dollars off our bill.. woo hoo?!... in the bright side the waitress was great .. she apologized a number of times and san g happy birthday to me . That was the only plus... maybe we will go back or maybe just find another place.
Not sure how they have the ratings they do, lackluster and not clean…. Hibachi lunch was cold, gentleman wiped away a drink mark on my dirty table he sat me at, with his sleeve. Steak was chewy and lacked flavor. Service was okay, atmosphere was outdated & needed a good wiping down. Will not be back.
